APELS- How do I renew my license?
When a licensee wants to renew their license, have them follow the following steps.
Step-by-step guide
- Determine the status of the licensee: Retired, Intern, Inactive, or Active.
- Retirees/Interns- As of October 5th, 2015 Interns and retirees are no longer required to pay a fee to renew online.
- To renew, the licensee will log in the the application using their license number and last 4 of their social.
- Then they will click the button for "renew license"
- Their information will be displayed for them to verify its accuracy.
- If all information is correct, they will click "Update" to complete their renewal.
This will move them to a receipt page, for them to print their receipt as well as their Pocket Card.
- Active/Inactive- These licensees are required to renew pay the due fee to renew their license
- To renew, the licensee will log in the the application using their license number and last 4 of their social.
- Then they will click the button for "renew license"
- Their information will be displayed for them to verify its accuracy.
- Click continue to move to the PDH Education Log.
- Any hours previously entered and saved into the Education Log, will be present at the time of renewal.
- If no hours were previously entered, the user will have to enter at least 15 hours to renew this license.
- Once all hours have been entered, the licensee will click continue to move to the Certification page, where an electronic signature is required.
- For the electronic signature, the licensee will simply type their name into the provided field, and click continue.
- This will move the licensee to the payment page, allowing the user to finalize this renewal with the payment,
Once payment is successfully received, a receipt page will be displayed, allowing the licensee to print a receipt and their Pocket Card.
